This is my first GameDev Project, a simple top-down shooter inspired by Hotline Miami! Hope you Like it! I'm a self-taught gamedev enthusiast using Godot, I hope to get better!

This is very much the Alpha Version, there's a lot of bugs, there's still developer mode on so you can see the tracking paths of the guard enemies, a lot left to be actually added to the game, but I doubt I'll work on this again anytime soon, I'll use the same story and game-mechanics after I get better at GameDev in another project for sure! 

At the start of 2025, my resolution was to get into GameDev, so here I am, fully self-taught and I draw all the assets by myself, so look forward as there are more projects to come!!

Sick game so far, I love the art and everything. I however don't quite understand the shift feature to look ahead. The main part of the game that I enjoy is how randomly some enemy can be in a corner waiting for me and immediately dashing towards me before I can even reload. Makes me stay on my toes. Maybe I am just obsessed with horror games but perhaps having the entire map without lights and having the player hold a cone flashlight might make the game harder and more fun. It could also increase the difficulty of map traversal. Perhaps lowering the amount of available bullets could also be fun. Nonetheless, great game so far. Can't wait for more levels.

Heyy MasterSushi! So the 'shift' to look ahead feature is used to scout ahead for enemies that may be off-screen, including turrets that can shoot at you from afar the moment they detect you. 

Yes! I made the enemies kinda scary when they chase you, to add a bit of a challenge to the game, I'm glad you like it! 

I thought of making it completely dark, and you'd have to use a flashlight or the burst of your gun to see, but the game became too difficult, but that's definitely an idea I had and I might implement it in a future game, so thank you!

Also there's four levels in total, I didn't add a end screen, so you beat the game when you reach the end and don't move to another level lol.
